Gerald A. Amundsen II, MD

Dr. Amundsen earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City. He completed his residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a fellowship in academic family medicine at the Faculty Development Center in Waco, Texas. Following residency, Dr. Amundsen joined the faculty of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, where he taught and served as associate program director of family medicine. Board certified in family medicine, he has practiced independently at Mustang Family Physicians since 2004. He also owns and operates Face It Medical Aesthetics in Mustang, Oklahoma. Dr. Amundsen serves as the medical director for Windsor Park Medical Clinic in Oklahoma City, providing primary care for a predominately underserved population. With an extensive background in sports medicine, he volunteers as the team physician for local high school athletic programs. He has produced multiple publications regarding primary care procedures, and he has been on the teaching faculty for the National Procedures Institute since 2001 and for the AAFP since 2007.
