MAJ Elise Johnson, MD, FAAFP

Dr. Johnson is a Major in the U.S. Army. She earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and completed family medicine residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. After graduating from residency in 2015, she moved to Colorado and practiced outpatient family medicine and inpatient pediatrics at Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson. Between late 2017 and early 2018, she spent several months deployed to a NATO hospital in Afghanistan, caring for soldiers and civilians from all over the world. Most recently, Dr. Johnson has been overseeing the medical care of soldiers in transition at Fort Carson’s Warrior Transition Battalion. In addition to precepting third-year medical students in the family medicine clinic, her interests include women’s health, patient education, and the medical applications of behavioral economics.
