Masters earned his master's degree in public health from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. He is the founder and Managing Director of Health Innovation Media, a digital media content developer that helps brand, report, and advise hospitals, health systems, physician organizations, accountable care organizations (ACOs), and integrated delivery networks in the digital domain. Health Innovation Media is a fixture at many national and regional health care and health information technology conferences, including the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Global Conference & Exhibition, Health Datapalooza, Exponential Medicine, J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, Health 2.0, ACO Summit, World Health Care Congress, Population Health Colloquium, BIO International Convention, and Digital Health Summit at CES.
