Joy Shen-Wagner, MD

Assistant Professor, Greenville Health Systems/University of South Carolina (USC) Family Medicine Residency Program, Greenville

Dr. Shen-Wagner earned her medical degree from the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, and completed her residency with Sutter Health in Sacramento, California. She is the director of family medicine point-of-care ultrasound (FM POCUS) and clerkship director of fourth-year medical students at the Greenville Health Systems/USC Family Medicine Residency Program. Previously, she was a primary care physician at USC Family Medicine; clinical faculty at Palmetto Health Family Medicine Residency Program in Columbia, South Carolina; and an immediate care physician at White-Wilson Medical Center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Her medical interests include empowerment of family physicians by increasing their diagnostic acumen, physician wellness, and the prevention of burnout. She completed a mini-fellowship in POCUS at the USC School of Medicine’s Ultrasound Institute.
