Clinical Procedures Workshops

Insertions and Removals of IUDs and Contraceptive Implants: Advanced with Online Module (Flipped Classroom)

The workshop will include an interactive didactic session on challenges and complexities of IUD and implant insertions and removals, with pictures and strategies for approaching these problems. Then, the hands on session will involve practicing techniques, using alligator forceps, thread retrievers, manual vacuum aspirators, vasectomy forceps, etc. Women of all ages, including adolescents will be discussed.

Experience a unique flipped classroom educational format. First, watch an online CME video module at your convenience. Once on site at FMX, attend the associated Clinical Procedures Workshop. Earn CME for both the online module and onsite workshop.

Learners are expected to have basic knowledge of LARC insertions and removals for this session.
