Opioid misuse and chronic pain are significant and interrelated health care issues that are important to our patients, the medical community, and society. Family physicians have a unique opportunity to be part of the opioid crisis solution, and the AAFP is committed to combatting this public health epidemic. Subject matter experts will offer a dynamic panel presentation on opioid use and misuse risks for chronic pain management and family physicians' role in combating addiction. Five panelists will represent various geographic and clinical perspectives; they will discuss success stories, offer advice, and answer audience questions. (CME credit available)
