Thank you for your interest in attending Family Medicine Experience (FMX), September 20–23. FMX now offers two registration options so everyone, anywhere, can experience the premier event for family medicine.

Request a Letter of Invitation

To request a letter of invitation from the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), please email the AAFP Member Resource Center with the following information:

  1. Full name
  2. Designation
  3. Place of employment
  4. Status (student, resident, faculty, practicing physician)
  5. Email address
  6. Name of AAFP event you want to attend

 

Visa Information

To attend FMX, you must apply for a visa.

  • Plan ahead—Visa appointment and processing wait times vary between U.S. embassies. 

  • Stay up to date—Locate your closest US embassy or consulate for the fastest and most accurate information.

Obtaining a visa does not guarantee entry into the United States.

FMX Hotels

Start planning your visit to Washington, DC, by reserving a hotel room in the AAFP hotel block. All hotels are within walking distance to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
