Directions and Parking Information

The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is within walking distance of most downtown hotels and only five blocks from the Canal St. and Riverfront streetcar lines. Airport Transportation

The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is located approximately 12 miles from the French Quarter and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. You can choose from a variety of ground transportation options to get you to and from your hotel:

  • Airport Shuttle: The official ground transportation for MSY, services the Downtown and Uptown hotels, the French Quarter, the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, and the Cruise Ship Terminals.   • Sedan Service: A sedan to Downtown Convention Hotel is $51.00  plus gratuity and fuel, so an all-inclusive rate for up to 3 passengers would be $66.75. An SUV that would hold up to 6 passengers would be $80.00 plus gratuity and fuel, or $103.00 all-inclusive. Learn More(scapps.kctg.com)
  • Taxi: Just outside of the baggage claim area, you will find a cab stand. The flat rate from the airport to anywhere within the city of New Orleans is $36 for one or two people, $15 per person for three or more.
  • Ride Share: App-based ride-sharing platforms, including Uber and Lyft, also service MSY. The designated pick-up location is outside of the Ground Transportation Center on the first floor of the short-term parking garage. Once your ride is arranged, you will receive the specific location of your driver.
  • City Bus: The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (NORTA) operates an express line from MSY to Elk Place at Canal St. in Downtown New Orleans. The fare is $1.50 and the bus makes nine trips daily.
