This event includes two components:
SOAR Learning Collaborative 10 a.m.–2 p.m .
Residency Program Solutions Workshop 2:30–4:30 p.m.
Family medicine residency programs across the country are reimagining how we train tomorrow's physicians. With the shift to outcome-based medical education by ACGME and ABFM, our community is engaged in a period of rapid residency redesign, particularly in resident evaluation, competency assessment, and care delivery. This exclusive gathering of program directors and faculty offers you the opportunity to both contribute to and benefit from a dynamic exchange of groundbreaking educational innovations emerging from peers testing change ideas that are shaping residency redesign.
Join the SOAR and RPS Communities in this special community collaborative to learn about emerging residency redesign strategies, explore "good fit" residency designs for your program, and connect with colleagues to help remove barriers to innovation and GME outcomes. Whether you're implementing novel clinical rotations, pioneering new assessment methods, or developing innovative wellness initiatives, your experience matters.
The Strengthening Outcomes and Assessment in Residency (SOAR) Community of Practice, sponsored by the AFMRD and ABFM Foundation, provides a powerful and practical residency learning network for program faculty to collectively acquire and implement emerging design features. SOAR is freely available to all family medicine residency program faculty and designed to help programs excel at self-study and apply successful designs developed in the community.
Complementing the SOAR collaborative, Residency Program Solutions (RPS) brings seasoned family medicine consultants to deliver expert strategies and actionable insights in an interactive workshop format. Gain focused guidance on Individual Learning Plans, Core Outcomes, coaching, resident engagement, residency finance, and demonstrating your program's value.
Together, we're not just discussing change—we're creating it. Join us in advancing excellence in family medicine education through collaborative innovation.
You can register for the workshop at the same time as you register for RLS.
