Prerequisites for acceptance
Applicants must: 1. Have successfully completed an ACGME accredited family medicine residency. 2. Be board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine 3. Obtain an unrestricted license in the state of Arkansas by the beginning of the fellowship. 4. Possess an unrestricted DEA Number. 5. Ability to obtain unrestricted core hospital privileges in family medicine at Sparks Regional Medical Center. 6. Three letters of recommendation. 7. Current ACLS certification
Description
FUNDING NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE, NO APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME. The emphasis of our program is primarily on operative obstetrics with an expected C-Section volume of 50-75 cases as primary or supervising surgeon by the end of the 12 month fellowship. Fellows will be independently practicing and privileged with consultative backup by the end of their program. There is also a heavy academic emphasis as we are co-located with the UAMS West Family Medicine Residency. Optional Academic and Endoscopy endorsements are available as well for interested fellows. Stipend is negotiable but centers around the stated 75K.
