Description
The core of this fellowship program includes training in all aspects of teaching plus basic research and administrative skills, professional and leadership development, as well as opportunities to enhance clinical skills and learn new procedures. Also included are specific training in evidence-based medicine, medical informatics, and interactive telecommunication. Special programs include an MPH and masters of medical education and combined program with private practice. Seminars may include shared sessions with sports medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatric fellows and pharmacy residents. Individualized programs are encouraged. Length of fellowship is 12-24 months. We develop Family Medicine educators to become master teachers, collaborative researchers, exemplary clinicians, and effective leaders.
