    Description

St. Anthony North Family Medicine is offering a one-year Emergency Medicine Fellowship in partnership with the USACS Emergency Medicine Physicians and the Common Spirit Health System. This Fellowship teaches Board Certified Family Medicine Graduates the skills necessary to provide rural emergency medicine coverage while maintaining their inpatient and outpatient clinical skills with the option of continuing OB skills. In this hybrid program, the fellows spend 100 hours a month in the Emergency Department and continue their Inpatient and clinic Medicine for another 80 hours a month. Fellows work at St. Anthony Hospital, a level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive stroke center of excellence, St. Anthony North Hospital, a level 2 Community Emergency Department, and at St Catherine’s in Garden City, Kansas to provide rural emergency care to an underserved population. These 3 diverse locations allow for the Physician to gain experiences in managing a variety of Emergencies and refine lifesaving Emergency Medicine skills such as intubations, resuscitations of any age, central venous access, stabilizing trauma patients, chest tube thoracostomy, lumbar punctures, point of care ultrasound, laceration repairs and dispositioning all emergencies. Dr. Rebekah Latham, a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician, serves as the Medical Director for the fellowship program, provides education on a system based core curriculum, organizes extra learning opportunities, helps fine tune clinical skills, assists in future opportunities. Applications are accepted from all graduates of ACGME/AOA accredited family medicine programs. 3 LOR's are requested along with your CV, Cover Letter and Personal Statement.
