Description
Any and all interested residents/fellows at UF Health are encouraged to consider further training in, or a career in, Addiction Medicine. We accept fellowship applicants from any/all medical disciplines, and currently spots are still available for July 2021. The Addiction Medicine Fellowship at UF College of Medicine is proud to be one of the nation's best, largest, and most enduring programs. Since its inception nearly 20 years ago, we've smoothly transitioned from ASAM approval, to ABAM approval, and most recently to ACGME accreditation- in the inaugural group with each new designation. We enjoy national prominence as a destination treatment program, and we are passionate about recovery from substance use disorders. We remain dedicated to our institutional missions of patient care, education, and research. Each year, we offer six spots for fellowship training. This year, as part of federal efforts to target the opioid epidemic, we are pleased to announce the addition of up to 3 additional training slots targeting underserved populations, by way of a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Applicants with J1 Visas are eligible for our program. Interested parties can obtain more information at https://psychiatry.ufl.edu/training/fellowships/addiction-medicine-fellowship/, or contact Program Coordinator Haley Weber at hweber@ufl.edu.
