Field experience
Field experiences are different depending on location. The Nicaragua trip was a 10- to 14- day trip focusing on women's health (including paps/pelvics and treatment). The Himalayan Health Exchange trips include remote and wilderness medicine/health training. The urban India rotation was located in an urban hospital. The Guatemala and Cameroon trips were focused on village and remote medicine. As mentioned earlier the rotations are 2 to 4 weeks in duration.
Didactics
Each trip had a daily didactic schedule. The residents were often asked to provide some of the teaching, especially when the trips include medical students.

Additional cost information
Residents are responsible for the cost of the travel room and board. Residency allots some funds for residents to utilize.
