Description

Recurring rotations available in Kenya, Mexico, and Haiti. In addition, residents have traveled throughout the world to locations including, but not limited to, Honduras, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Liberia, Rwanda and Moldova.

Field experience

Work in a variety of outpatient clinic settings. Some established in local communities, some are day clinics in villages or neighborhoods. There is also the ability to work with mission and government hospitals in an inpatient setting.

Didactics

-Regular international medicine noon conference lectures. -Detailed international health curriculum outlining various aspects of care in the developing world. -Currently being developed: evening "chats" with interested residents discussing topics affecting global health.

Additional cost information

Varies. Our Foundation will assist residents with expenditures at the rate of $1,500 per trip. There is also a personal business expense fund available to each resident that can help subsidize the cost of trips.
