Description
For the last three years, we have traveled to Uganda as part of an experience for our residents in the Global Health Emphasis track. In the last three years, we have sent one faculty member and 1-2 residents per year depending upon availability.

Field experience
Clinical experience in the Engeye Health Clinic, Ddegeya Village, Uganda. Typical clinical days are 8-10 hour sessions, five days a week. The experience is broad- spectrum care provided to the community of rural Uganda.
Didactics
Daily debriefing, lectures received as well as expectation of lectures to be given. In addition, rural care with limited resources are taught.

Additional cost information
The residency program has provided some support for funding and will aid in attempting to obtain scholarship funding from another source as well.
