    Program Description

Our program currently has two tracks - Waterloo, Iowa and Des Moines, Iowa. These tracks work independently and travel between tracks is not required. The Des Moines track practices out of Iowa Lutheran Hospital and Methodist Medical Center. Our Family Medicine Clinic is the focal point of the residency program where you will have opportunities to work with patients in all walks of life including our maternal-child clinics two afternoons each week for our Spanish-speaking Latino immigrant families and others without health insurance. Additional rotations will be completed at our other affiliates including a dedicated pediatric center, a Level 1 Trauma Center and the home to Iowa's largest birthing center. The Waterloo track practices out of Allen Hospital and is an unopposed, community-based environment with a focus on treating patients and their families. We tailer to meet your individual needs, while providing a full range of family medicine services.
