Program Description
The Scripps Mercy Family Medicine Residency Program is a community-based program dedicated to training competent and compassionate Family Physicians with a commitment to providing care for people and communities in need. Closely affiliated with the University of California, San Diego and the San Diego/Border Area Health Education Center (AHEC), we have the privilege of providing healthcare to our underserved U.S/Mexico Border community while maintaining our commitment to academic excellence. Through our partnership with a large FQHC, the San Ysidro Health Center, Community Medicine is emphasized throughout the curriculum.
