    Program Description

McLaren Flint is affiliated with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and is committed to supporting Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs with the belief that educating future physicians is an integral part of furthering its mission to be the best value in health care as defined by quality outcomes and cost. In addition, McLaren Flint sponsors the McLaren Center for Advanced Psychology Training (MICAPT), an APA-accredited postdoctoral fellowship in clinical health psychology. Psychologists work with the Family medicine residents to provide integrated care. We have physicians who are certified in lifestyle medicine. Our physicians are heavily involved in the community, offering medical care to the Genesee County Health Department, Carriage Town Ministries, and Spartan Street Medicine/ homeless population and outreach programs in the Flint area elementary schools. Our clinical team consists of: • A Geriatrician • A Geriatric Assessment Clinic • A certified Lifestyle Medicine Family Medicine Physician • A Comprehensive diabetes clinic • A Board-certified Gynecologist/Obstetrician. • A Family medicine physician who is fellowship trained in women's health. • A Women's Health Nurse Navigator • A Lactation consultant • Behavioral Medicine Specialists We believe in a lifelong approach to learning and give you the tools and opportunities to learn.
