    Program Description

The Wray Rural Training Track was established in 1992 by the core program, North Colorado Family Medicine Residency Training Program in Greeley, Colorado. Wray, Colorado, is a rural farming community in northeastern Colorado, approximately 140 miles from Greeley. After 15 months with the core program in Greeley, the Wray resident moves to Wray to continue training. The curriculum in Wray is longitudinal, with many opportunities for procedures, from endoscopy to C-sections to tonsillectomies. Local faculty includes a general surgeon, who relishes educating residents. Specialists from Greeley and Denver rotate to Wray on a regular basis and again welcome residents in the care of their patients. Excellent training for rural practice.
