Program Description

The Family Medicine Residency Program at McGovern Medical School, UT Health is a 12-12-12 university-based program in the Texas Medical Center. We train family physicians with the skills to care for the whole person, their family and community. Our program provides care to patients of diverse cultural, ethnic and economic backgrounds, teaching the residents to treat all patients with dignity. Our community health venues promote patient advocacy and residents are constantly aware of their impact in the community. The diversity, flexibility, and excellence of the educational experience at the Family Medicine Residency Program at McGovern Medical School, UT Health provides the future family physician with the knowledge and skills to succeed in their career, regardless of the path they choose to follow.
