Grant Family Medicine Residency Program’s mission is to train family medicine physicians who provide comprehensive, equitable, and innovative care for the community they serve. Our office is in downtown Columbus, OH, across the street from OhioHealth Grant Medical Center. Due to our accessible location and emphasis on inclusion, we have been able to create a vibrant, welcoming office that cares for our community and diverse patient population in an empowering and patient-centered way. Residents experience a curriculum that is focused on comprehensive ambulatory care while maintaining an active hospital presence through our inpatient and obstetrics/newborn services. Our full-spectrum patient care allows for effective transitions of care, multidisciplinary care that focuses on social determinants of health, and advocacy for equitable policy change. During their training, residents are given progressive responsibility and autonomy to ensure continuous growth paired with the support and wellness needed to succeed. Residents have the opportunity to personalize their experience through an area of concentration, which include advocacy, faculty development, geriatrics, global health, HIV care, inpatient medicine, LGBTQ+ care, reproductive health, sports medicine, and urban underserved care. We also have addiction, geriatric, and hospitalist medicine fellowships available at Grant Medical Center. Since our founding in 1971 as one of the first ACGME-approved programs, Grant Family Medicine has valued preparing compassionate, outstanding family medicine physicians who can meet the needs and assist in improving the health of their communities. Our network consists of more than 500 graduates! We continue to grow and contribute to the community of family medicine physicians across the world.
