    Program Description

    The Southern New Mexico Family Medicine Residency Program is the only full 3 year residency program in the southern half of the state. We are an unopposed program with a focus on full spectrum Family Medicine. Some of our unique qualities include border health, Hepatitis C and HIV care. We have an active telemedicine component and a diverse faculty with experience in Occupational Medicine, Rural Medicine, Hospital Medicine and Operative Obstetrics. We have integrated daily rounds which includes our Family Medicine faculty, Behavioral Health Faculty, and Pharm-D faculty. We also have our own Obstetric/Gynecology faculty to offer consultation services in our clinic and in the inpatient setting.
