Program Description
The Family Medicine Residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital/Syracuse, New York is one of the oldest and successful unopposed programs in the country. We are the only primary care residency in a 431 bed hospital. Syracuse is ranked as the best place to live among cities of 500,000 or less. (Places Rated Almanac). Excellent match in 2013. 40 residents representing 18 medical schools. Upstate New York. Strong obstetrics, international medicine, sports medicine, womens health, palliative care and inpatient geared to rural practice. We are paired with Syracuse University for our Masters in Public Helath program. Excellent salary/benefits.
