Program Description

At the heart of family medicine is the appreciation of the patient in the context of their family and community. Residents train at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital, Northwestern Medical Group in Grayslake, IL and Erie HealthReach in Waukegan, IL. Based in an academic affiliated-community hospital and two family medicine centers, one in a traditional outpatient clinic and the other in a Federally Qualified Health Center, our residents take advantage of the many learning experiences reflected in several diverse communities all within close proximity to each other.
