    Program Description

    EC-HealthNet is a rural/underserved mission driven program offering individualized learning plans to meet the residents goal of future practice. Included are ultrasound, difficult airway course with fresh cadaver procedures, rural medicine rotations and opportunities for serving on committees and advocacy in medicine. The program also provides a 3 year lifestyle medicine curriculum with board certification upon completion. The inpatient service provides opportunities for continuity with clinic patients as well as referrals to the resident for follow up. There are many activities in our town for social life outside of residency including arts, entertainment, festivals, concerts and close proximity to beaches, sporting events and airport transportation. Meridian Mississippi is strategically located within a few hours of major tourist attractions. The big city with the small town atmosphere.
