    Program Description

Full Circle Health FMRI Nampa Family Medicine program is based in the western Treasure Valley area of Idaho, 25 miles from our capital of Boise. Our residents will become strong advocates for community-based care, partnering with local groups to improve health outcomes for our patients. This program offers a vibrant learning platform that is both intimate and innovative. You will work in a small community hospital that is part of a larger, cutting edge, supportive hospital system. The size allows you to become involved an all aspects of a patients care both in and out of the hospital. Our faculty are passionate about training excellent Family Medicine physicians by creating a trusting environment for our patients in a well-established teaching health center/FQHC. Residents have the opportunity to become proficient in upper endoscopy, colonoscopies, obstetrics and other procedures. Residents are able to customize their education by participating in two optional away rotations and 3 rural rotations, providing an opportunity to learn how to meet the needs of their future communities. This flexibility in training is critical in building well-rounded, fulfilled physicians, prepared to practice in any setting they desire, particularly rural and under-resourced settings. Our state offers wonderful opportunities for outdoor activities and the opportunity to develop strong training in advocacy. Although we are fairly new, we are one of Full Circle Health Family Medicine Residency of Idaho programs, a sponsor that has been in residency training for over 40 years and we also benefit from our affiliation with WWAMI.
