    Program Description

We are a rural community-based family medicine residency. Our residency is unopposed and provides robust experience in inpatient medicine, procedures (both inpatient and outpatient), and obstetrical services. We are flexible and can provide strong experiences in multiple areas of family medicine, including geriatrics, outpatient clinic, sports medicine, and palliative care. Our family medicine center is an FQHC (federally qualified health clinic) which serves the underserved in our home of Henderson county. We are the only full-service acute care hospital in the county, serving a population of over 100,000. Our program is supported by a diverse array of community physicians in multiple specialties, including FMOB, cardiology, GI, ENT, orthopedics, general surgery, and urology. In short, we provide a broad, well-rounded, unopposed program with full scope training and practice.
