• Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) Leaders

The 2023 National Conference Family Medicine Leads scholarship application process has closed.

The Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) Leaders scholarship is open to current or incoming FMIG, ACOFP Student Chapter, or other Student Primary Care Interest Group leaders. You must hold FMIG/SIG leadership position in 2023-24 academic year to apply.

Students who wish to apply for this award must complete an online application (including contact information for your FMIG/SIG faculty advisor) that includes three text boxes to address:

    1. What is your FMIG/SIG leadership position (or upcoming position) and what do you hope to achieve in this role in the year ahead?
    2. What about attending National Conference will make you a more effective family medicine leader on your campus?
    3. What will be your focus at the conference?

Each text box allows for 1000 characters (approximately 150 words). You are encouraged to give considerable thought to the essay questions and draft your answers in a separate document prior to beginning your application. If applicable, you may also complete an optional essay to briefly describe how you identify as someone underrepresented in medicine (500-character limit).

You must be a medical student during the 2023-24 academic year to apply. You are not eligible if you will graduate before July 1, 2023.
