    Chapter Membership Details

Because AAFP membership is unified, members are required to belong to the national Academy, as well as to their regional and (if available) local chapter.

Chapters offer local and regional opportunities to network, mentor, volunteer, take a leadership role, and get involved in the AAFP. There are chapters for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Uniformed Services, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

Chapter memberships also are free until graduation or withdrawal from medical school.
