Help plan National Conference in this highly visible AAFP leadership position.
Must have attended a past National Conference and be in good academic standing. At least one year of national-level experience in AAFP leadership, including:
Time commitment away from medical school: Approximately 15-20 days (includes weekends) for travel and attendance at meetings.
Funding: Travel covered according to AAFP Travel Policy. A per diem covers expenses to travel to and attend the meeting, including lodging and food.
Candidates for this position run for office and are elected at the AAFP National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students July 29-31, 2021. Candidates should plan to attend the virtual conference, and be available for candidate orientation July 28, 2021, at 7 p. m. CDT and the candidate forum (speeches and elections) July 30, 2022, at 6 p.p. CDT. Candidates are required to deliver a 2 - 3 minute speech and participate in Q&A. Election results to be announced August 2, 2021.
