Aug. 18, 2020, 12:01 pm News Staff — The new AAFP digital experience is ready to deliver the family medicine information members need now for wherever they are in their professional career or specialty training.
The changes that came with the Aug. 17 launch of the Academy's new website -- and that arrive this week in the new mobile app -- make it simple for practicing family physicians, residents and students to quickly get to streamlined content tailored to their needs.
Be sure you received an email from the AAFP on Aug. 17 with information about your new username (which is the email address you have on file with the Academy) and instructions for resetting your password. If you don't see the message -- which came from no-reply@aafp.org with the subject line "Reset Your AAFP Password" -- in your inbox or spam folder, just click "Forgot your password?" on the login page. You also can contact the Member Resource Center at aafp@aafp.org or 800-274-2237.
Once you're signed in, look around!
On the website, family physicians will find expandable mega-menus that allow them to easily bring up a wide array of AAFP tools to help serve patients, manage practices, receive CME credit and advocate for themselves and their patients. For those who are earlier on their family medicine path, there are tools to help achieve success in medical school and residency. All of it now works seamlessly on computers and mobile devices.
The mobile app will offer everything you need in one place, including journal content from American Family Physician and FPM, improved audio content for mobile learning, new members-only audio content and much more. Those who already use the AAFP app and have apps set to update automatically will see the new version soon. Links to the new app for iOS and Android devices also will be available on the app page later this week.
Take a quick video tour of the new resources and then make yourself at home.
