August 24, 2020, 11:15 am News Staff -- AAFP members can purchase personal protective equipment until 4 p.m. ET Sept. 3 through a collaboration between the Academy and the not-for-profit organization Project N95.
To be eligible to purchase during this event, which opened Aug. 24 to all AAFP members (including students and residents), register with Project N95 on the AAFP website no later than 4 p.m. ET Aug. 31.
After registering, members can purchase PPE, with no minimum order, at these bulk-pricing rates:
The AAFP joined this collaboration as part of its ongoing work to ensure that family physicians have the resources they need to continue serving on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. The AAFP has no financial relationship with the suppliers or with Project N95.
Because members have reported that much of the PPE they have been able to find on their own has been of poor quality, Project N95 has vetted its suppliers and guarantees that their products meet FDA standards.
This opportunity lasts only a limited time so that AAFP members' orders can be aggregated to qualify for bulk pricing. It might not be repeated; members are urged to order for their anticipated needs over the coming months. Orders can be shipped within the United States and Puerto Rico.
