Looking Out for You

Member Resources and Tools for 2018

Family physicians are unparalleled in providing top-notch, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages and genders and from all walks of life. And they do so in a wide range of practice settings — from small rural clinics to urban health facilities, and from federally qualified health centers to large academic institutions.

To ensure that AAFP members have all the resources required to provide that care at their fingertips, Academy leaders and staff work around the clock to anticipate members' needs and find innovative solutions. So whether you're seeking clinical decision-making support or practice management tools, you can look to the AAFP for assistance.

The AAFP has created a variety of resources to help family physicians transition to one of the two payment pathways that make up CMS’ 2018 Quality Payment Program: the Merit-based Incentive Payment System or advanced alternative payment models.

The AAFP offered a wide range of clinical recommendations and resources throughout 2017 — including practice guidelines, immunization guidance and preventive services recommendations — that members can use in 2018 and beyond.

Physician Health First, the physician well-being initiative the Academy launched in 2017, will expand in 2018 with the first-ever Family Physician Health and Well-being Conference — to be held in Naples, Fla. — and even more online and live resources.

Celebrating the start of 2018 wouldn’t be possible without you — our amazing members.

The dedication you show to your profession, patients, and community — 365 days a year — never goes unnoticed. On behalf of the AAFP, here’s wishing you a happy 2018.

This is your calling, this is your year — make it count.
