Panel size was defined as patients attributed to you and seen in the last 24 months. Male physicians had a higher mean (2,464) vs. female physicians (1,627). Physicians in groups (2,839) and self/majority owners (2,288) had higher means vs. physicians in hospitals (1,948) and other settings (1,328).

This is an increase from the prior year's mean of $200,000. About one in five family physicians (20%) make $150,000 or less, and three in ten (30%) make more than $250,000.
