Resident Member of the American Family Physician Editorial Board

The Resident Member of the American Family Physician (AFP) Editorial Board has the opportunity to gain valuable leadership skills.

AFP is the peer-reviewed and evidence-based clinical journal of the AAFP. It delivers concise clinical review articles for physicians and promotes the specialty of family medicine. Although AFP is primarily focused on practicing family physicians, the journal also serves as a resource for medical residents. The current AFP summaries are helpful to residents in their preclinical and clinical years.

As the major source of content for residency and board certification exams, AFP aims to increase use of the journal by medical residents. The AFP medical resident representative supports the outreach of AFP to medical residents to improve the visibility and rigor of the largest and most expansive medical specialty.
