This advanced lifesaving course was developed by a team of interprofessional experts in obstetric emergency care. Your entire team can learn evidence-based, standardized approaches to improve patient safety at a time when maternity care deserts are growing.

    1. Pregnancy-related deaths have doubled in the United States since 2014 1 .
    2. Areas with limited or no access to maternal care are called maternity care deserts. These regions affect 1 in 12 women across the US.
    3. High-risk pregnancies are on the rise due to increased cases of diabetes, heart disease, obesity, multiples and advanced age at pregnancy.
    4. More than 35% of US counties lacks obstetric clinicians and birthing clinics 2.

Change those numbers for the better with proven, lifesaving strategies that can improve obstetric emergency outcomes.
