The AAFP Credit System was the first national CME accreditor for physicians in the US and today, is the only accreditor focused solely on the needs of family physicians. The AAFP Credit System reviews CME activity credit applications, on a per activity basis, and awards either AAFP Prescribed or Elective credit to activities that comply with our eligibility requirements under the direction of the Commission on Continuing Professional Development (COCPD). On average, the AAFP Credit System reviews and awards credit for about 1,300 CME provider customers, whose activities and sessions total more than 18,000 per year.
The mission of the AAFP Credit System is to facilitate members’ access to vetted, relevant, and quality CME that improves the practice of family medicine, health care delivery, and the health of individuals and populations.
“The customer service and responsiveness of this organization is fantastic. As a new CME provider that was a breath of fresh air and encourages use to do more.”
"The AAFP credit system is one of the easiest I have ever worked with and I have to give a HUGE kudos to the customer service/support team. I have had to call twice and not only were both individuals I spoke with incredibly kind and supportive they also helped me in the quickest manner. I am very impressed with AAFP and I hope I never have to work with another system."
“I always appreciate how quickly someone responds to my questions.”
“The new application takes a lot less time and is easier to navigate.”
