    2022 Call for Proposals


    The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) invites you to submit one or more applications to present at an AAFP CME live course and FMX. Preference may be given to applicants who can also present their proposed topic(s) at the 2022 AAFP Family Medicine Experience (FMX) in Washington, DC, September 20–24, 2022.

    Submission deadline is 5:00 p.m. CT on Friday, November 5, 2021

    Proposal applications must be submitted electronically via the proposal site by 5:00 p.m. CT on Friday, November 5. Notification of an application’s acceptance or non-selection will be sent via email in January 2022. There is no limit on the number of application submissions.

    Family Medicine Experience (FMX): Faculty Honoraria and Reimbursement Policy

    Applicants who are selected to present will receive:

    • $550 per day stipend to defray hotel, food, and ground transportation costs; paid only for the day(s) on which the faculty presents
    • $200 per hour, per topic for content development
    • $300 per hour of presenting
    • $100 recorded session (if applicable)
    • Coach-class airfare from and to the faculty home destination
    • Waiver of registration fee
       

    Note: Clinical Procedure Workshop faculty honoraria will differ from above.  

    All compensation and reimbursement will be paid to the faculty in the form of a check issued by the AAFP once a completed faculty reimbursement voucher is submitted after the activity.

    Co-presenters (if any), unless selected as a collaborative care team, are not eligible for reimbursement, compensation, or waived registration fees. The honorarium will be paid only to the faculty who submits the application. The AAFP does not divide the honorarium among the submitting faculty and his or her co-presenters.

    National Live Course: Faculty Honoraria and Reimbursement Policy

    Applicants who are selected to present will receive:

    • $400 per hour, per topic for content development
    • $300 per hour, per topic for presenting
    • $100 per hour (If the course is selected to be repurposed into self-study materials)
    • Expense Reimbursement:
    • Coach-class airfare from and to the faculty member’s home destination
    • Ground Transportation and Airport Parking
    • Up to $100/day for food (receipts required for expenses over $25.00)
    • Hotel accommodations (paid by AAFP) Faculty local to the activity will not be provided hotel accommodations
    • Waiver of Course registration fee

    All compensation and reimbursement will be paid to the faculty member in the form of a check issued by the AAFP once a completed faculty reimbursement voucher is submitted. Voucher is due within 30 days after the activity.

    Application

    A proposal application is deemed complete and eligible for consideration when it includes evidence-based content, family physician input, completed or updated the online AAFP’s CME Disclosure Form, and evaluation scores from prior presentations.
