The Quality Payment Program-Small Practice, Underserved, and Rural Support (QPP-SURS) program is one of four technical assistance programs funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to assure that all eligible clinicians (ECs) in MACRA’s Quality Payment Program (QPP) have access to the support they need to prepare for the two payment tracks under QPP: Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Advanced Alternative Payment Models (AAPMs).
The technical assistance offered by QPP-SURS is free-of-charge. The QPP-SURS only serves small practices of 15 or fewer ECs, with a focus on those located in medically-underserved areas, health professional shortage areas, and rural locations.
