Three questions to ask before implementing a change in your practice
Change is hard, and not all change is worth the effort. To make sure a change you’re considering will actually make things better in your practice, ask three essential questions:
1. Will the change ease the work burden for our overloaded physicians?
2. Will the change lead to measurable improvement in quality or convenience for the people we serve?
3. Is there a revenue stream to support the work involved in this change?
If you can’t answer “yes” to each of these questions, you may need to pause and rethink what you’re doing.
