Program Description

Serving the people of Aurora, Colorado, we strive to train family physicians who exceptional at outpatient family medicine and strong in inpatient, maternity, and emergency care. We have a unique partnership between the HCA-HealthONE system and the Cornerstone Family Practice clinic that leverages the benefits of both organizations. Our comprehensive family medicine experience offers maximum flexibility and innovation in rotation scheduling with plenty of electives to optimize training for the unique interests of the individual learner as well as established tracks in SPORTS medicine, WILDERNESS medicine, OSTEOPATHIC manual medicine, OBSTETRICS, HOSPITAL medicine, GLOBAL medicine, and LIFESTYLE medicine. Osteopathic principles permeate our daily practice and we supplement this with monthly hands-on workshops. Our didactic training provides a case-based adult-learning based broad array of family medicine topics with many procedure workshops. We strongly advocate for physician well-being during residency training and strive to create opportunities for it in all that Colorado has to offer.
