American Family Physician (AFP) is the editorially independent, peer-reviewed and evidence-based clinical journal of the AAFP. AFP delivers concise, easy-to-read key clinical review articles for physicians and health care professionals and promotes family medicine. While AFP primarily focuses on established family physicians, the journal serves as a critical resource for residents. AFP provides relevant and concise content that serves as a resource for resident in-service training as well as board certification examinations. The AFP resident representative will serve as the advocate for resident interests and learning needs while promoting the journal to the Family Physicians of the future.
Time commitment away from medical school: 2-3 days
Funding: AAFP will cover travel expenses for National Conference; AFP will cover any additional expenses related to the AFP Editor’s Meeting.
Required elements of the application include: Letter of Interest, Letter of Chapter Support, Letter of Support from Program Director, and a Photo.
