• MIPS 2022 data due March 31

    The deadline to submit 2022 performance data for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) is fast approaching. MIPS-eligible clinicians who participated in the Quality Payment Program (QPP) in 2022 must submit or update data by 8 p.m. ET on March 31.

    Here’s how to submit data:

    1. Go to the Quality Payment Program sign-in page.
    2. Sign in using your QPP access credentials.
    3. Submit your MIPS data for the 2022 performance year, or review the data reported on your behalf by a third party. (You can’t correct errors after the submission period, so it’s important to make sure the data submitted on your behalf is accurate before the March 31 deadline.)

    To sign in and submit data, you will need to register in the HCQIS Authorization Roles and Profile (HARP) system. If you need help enrolling with HARP, refer to the Quality Payment Program Access User Guide (zip).

    If you are unsure about your eligibility to participate in MIPS for the 2022 performance year, you can check your eligibility with the QPP Participation Status Tool. Clinicians and groups that are opt-in eligible will need to make an election to opt-in or voluntarily report before they can submit data. (No election is required for those who don’t want to participate in MIPS.)

    The QPP service center is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. ET. It can be reached by phone at 1-866-288-8292, by e-mail at: QPP@cms.hhs.gov, or by going to CCSQ Support Central at CCSQ Support Central.

    You can also schedule a call with a service center representative by going to CCSQ Support Central and clicking “Schedule a Call” at the top of the page, or submit a ticket for help by clicking “Request Support.” If you’d rather do a live chat with a service center rep online, go to the CCSQ Support Central page and click the circular chat icon in the lower right area.

    To minimize wait times and ensure successful data submission, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recommends you use only one method of reporting (e.g., email, phone, or CCSQ Support Central). Cases are processed in the order in which they are received, regardless of how you contact the service center.
