The Centers for Medicare & Medicare Services (CMS) has released Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) final scores for 2020 performance, along with corresponding payment adjustments for 2022.

To view your MIPS performance feedback, final score, and payment adjustment on the Quality Payment Program (QPP) website:

  • Go to cms.gov/login
  • Log in using your HCQIS Access Roles and Profile (HARP) system credentials (the same credentials you used to submit your 2020 MIPS data).

If you don’t have a HARP account, refer to the “Register for a HARP Account” and “Connect to an Organization” documents in the QPP Access User Guide and start the process now.

To learn more about your MIPS performance feedback, review the following resources:

The 2020 MIPS final scores reflect flexibilities put into place because of the COVID-19 pandemic. You can learn more about that on the COVID-19 Response Fact Sheet and COVID-19 Response Webpage.

Individual clinicians and representatives of alternative payment model Entities will also be able to access performance feedback directly on the QPP website using their HARP accounts. However, feedback is not related to model-specific requirements and assessments outside of the QPP.

Similarly, Medicare Shared Savings Program accountable care organizations (ACOs), can create and manage a HARP account in the ACO Management System (ACO-MS). Contact your ACO to find out how you can obtain an account through ACO-MS. If you have any questions, contact the ACO Information Center at SharedSavingsProgram@cms.hhs.gov or 1-888-734-6433 (Option 1).

For other questions about MIPS performance feedback, final scores, and payment adjustments, contact the QPP at 1-866-288-8292 or by e-mail at: QPP@cms.hhs.gov. Individuals who are hearing impaired can dial 711 to be connected to a TRS Communications Assistant. To receive assistance more quickly, consider calling before 10 a.m. or after 2 p.m. ET.
