Four apps to encourage healthy habits

Family physician David Rebedew, MD, used FPM’s “SPPACES” app review criteria to find apps that best support patients’ positive health behaviors. Based on the results, you can recommend these four to your patients:

  • My Diet Coach encourages and tracks weight loss: Android; iOS,
  • Mango Health reminds users to take or refill their medication: Android; iOS,
  • Lose It! counts calories and records fitness goals: Android; iOS,
  • Plant Nanny encourages adequate water consumption: Android; iOS.
