• 2024 AAFP Call for Content Closing Soon

    Submit Education Proposals by Aug. 31

    Aug. 21, 2023, News Staff — As part of providing family physicians with the latest clinical guidance, practice recommendations and relevant research findings, each summer the AAFP announces a Call for Content (formally known as a Call for Proposal) to be used in educational activities for the following year.

    The 2024 Call for Content is now officially underway, and members have until Aug. 31 to submit their proposals for consideration. Members are strongly encouraged to review the Call for Content webpage as they develop their proposals.

    Content: Formats and Topics

    Proposed content can take a variety of formats, including (but not limited to) clinical procedure workshops; game-based learning; panel discussions; podcasts; and lectures or presentations that incorporate virtual reality.

    Members are invited to submit proposals on topics that fall into three broad categories:

    1. Clinical topics based on the latest evidence that help lead to improved patient outcomes;
    2. Career topics that can assist with professional advancement, increased job satisfaction and improved physician well-being; and
    3. Practice topics that result in more effective coding and billing procedures, reduce administrative complexities, and allow family physicians and staff more time with patients.

    Approved content may be used in any AAFP educational activity throughout the year, whether as a live or pre-recorded activity, an interactive webinar, or Academy events such as FMX or the National Conference of Constituency Leaders.

    Proposals: Requirements, Eligibility and How to Submit

    Members can submit their proposals by clicking the “Submit a Proposal” button located at the top and bottom of the Call for Content webpage. Members are invited to submit as many proposals as they would like, and on as many topics that suit their interests.

    For a submission to be eligible, it must include evidence-based content; family physician input; a completed or updated CME disclosure form (selecting Option 1); and evaluation scores from prior presentations (except for previous AAFP faculty).

    Additional details are available on the Call for Content submission requirements webpage.
