AAFP President Featured on Whitehouse.gov Health Reform Video

Americans need to ask themselves who they trust in the health care reform debate, said Vice President Joe Biden in a video posted to the White House Web site on Monday. Americans have more trust in doctors and nurses than in groups who are opposing reform legislation because doctors and nurses work in the health care system every day, said Biden.

Biden then turned the camera over to AAFP President Lori Heim, M.D., and the president of the American Nurses Association. "We have to have health care reform," said Heim. "The status quo is simply unacceptable. As an American, this is not what we expect. We expect that when you pay your money for a product, you get a fair thing in return, and that's not what people are seeing."
