FP Essentials FAQs

Each monthly edition of FP Essentials is approved for up to 5 AAFP Prescribed credits.

You have 2 years from the date of publication (each edition is published on or near the 15th of the month) to complete each quiz online. NOTE: You will receive CME credit for the year in which each quiz is completed online.

The American Academy of Family Physicians maintains a database of all FP Essentials subscriber credits. FP Essentials quizzes must be completed online. AAFP members will have their credits automatically posted to their Academy CME transcript.

The overall distribution of topics is matched to that on the American Board of Family Medicine Certification exams.
