AAFP membership is not required for students to attend FUTURE—but it is strongly encouraged! Student membership is FREE and gives you access to all the incredible resources the AAFP offers to support your medical journey.
Nonmember transitional students and residents who qualify for the AAFP can apply for membership. Once approved, you can register online for FUTURE. Membership applications must be received and approved by June 16 to be eligible for a discounted registration fee.
Individuals who completed medical school in 2024, 2025 or 2026 but have not matched into a residency program may join the AAFP as a transitional member for $125. (Some chapters may also assess dues.) Once membership is approved, you can register online for FUTURE.
Are you a resident staffing your program's booth? You can participate in all the educational programming, including Main Stage sessions and workshops! To make it even easier for you to get the most from FUTURE, many sessions are scheduled around Expo Hall hours. For example, resident exhibitors can take full advantage of Thursday’s lineup before the Expo Hall opens.
Full payment must be received with your registration. Pay by check (payable to the AAFP) or charge your registration to American Express, Visa, MasterCard or Discover.
If you need a scooter or wheelchair, you can order one for an additional fee through Chuck’s Mobility. Reservations are required. Contact Chuck’s Mobility via their website or at (816) 859-0290 to make a reservation up to two months in advance. Deadline is July 15, 2026. Payment is due two weeks before your reservation. If you cancel 48 hours before your reservation, you’ll be charged $25. If you give less than 48 hours’ notice for a cancellation, you’ll be charged $150.
Note: Rentals will not be available on-site at the convention center. All reservations must be made before arrival.
If you need hearing or vision assistance, complete the “Special Accommodations” questions on your registration form or contact Annie Tebow at least 10 business days before the event to make arrangements.
The AAFP must receive notice of cancellation no later than July 9, 2026. Requests for full cancellations will be refunded less a $50 administrative fee.
Cancellations or no-shows after July 9, 2026, are not eligible for a refund.
Please allow up to four weeks for the refund to arrive. Fees will be refunded the same way they were paid to the AAFP. This policy covers registration and ticketed events.
If a program is canceled by the AAFP, every effort will be made to notify registrants at least 30 days before the first day of the course, and registration fees will be refunded.
To make a cancellation request, call the AAFP at (800) 274-2237 or send your request to:
